History
Arden is an unincorporated community in south Buncombe County between Skyland and Fletcher. Arden is part of the Asheville metropolitan area.
It’s just a few miles from the Asheville Regional Airport and close to some of the best spots on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The community is bordered by the French Broad River and down the road from the North Carolina Arboretum. An extraordinary public garden that adjoins the Parkway, the Arboretum has cultivated gardens, hiking and biking trails and exhibits on subjects ranging from mountain quilts to rare plants.
